TGS MP-9 Magnetic Therapy - how it works.

Magnetic therapy has been used in different forms for more than 70 years and has proved effective in treating a large range of injuries in animals. Magnetic Therapy has few side effects and is safe for the animal and the operator. A list of contra indications are at the end of this document.

Cellular Voltages.
Magnetic Field can correct the voltage across a cell membrane. Without correction the cell's metabolism is greatly reduced and becomes inactive. With treatment the damaged cell becomes re-polarised and prevent the cell from dying. The metobolism of a cell is closely related to ionic flow, which affects its ability to utilise oxygen.

Nerve Fibre.
The resting potential of a nerve fibre junction determines the level of pain recognised by the brain. The pulsed magnetic field can alter the potential by induction and change the threshold at which pain is felt.

Muscle Tension.
Tension is reduced as the tonus of the muscle is reduced. The magntic field reacts with the constant flow of impulses directed at the muscle. The choice of pulse rate is important in the degree to which tonus, and thus tension is reduced.

Fractures.
Pulsed Magnetic Therapy can be used to speed up the repair of broken bones. During normal use bones flex, and this fexing creates a voltage along the bone that helps carries the nutrients required for healing and growth. When a limb is set in plaster the bone is immobilised and the generation of this voltage greatly reduced. When pulsed magnetic field is applied it recreates this voltage thus speeding up the healing time.

Contra Indications.
Not to be used in pregnancy, virus infection, mycosis, cancer or internal haemorrage. Also not during x-ray or radiation treatment.

General Information.
Magnetic Field Therapy can be used over casts or where there is a metal implant without any ill effects or heating.

Feedback.
User find that their dog lies on the blanket while treated without any trouble. The treatment relaxes the dog after a workout. Also it can relieve aches and pains. We find that these units trend to sell by word of mouth because of the results they get.
